Our school
Small enough that nobody hides.
Every learner known by name. It is the one promise every other part of the school is built around.
Known by name, in practice
A promise you can hold us to.
Any school can say it knows its learners. These are the four habits that make it true here, and you can ask any parent whether we keep them.
- 1
One adviser, all year
Each section has one adviser from June to March. They read every quarter's grades before you do and call when a mark drops, not after.
- 2
Names on the first day
Teachers learn every learner's name in the first week — a photo roster is on their desk until they can do without it.
- 3
A conference each quarter
Report cards are handed over in person, ten minutes per family, with the adviser and the work that earned the grade.
- 4
Help before failing
A grade under 75 in any quarter starts remedial sessions that week, and the parent is told the plan in writing.
What we value
Honest.
We publish our fees, grade by a rule we can show you, and say so when something went wrong.
Kind.
Discipline here is a conversation first. A learner who is struggling is a learner we have not reached yet.
Curious.
Every room has a reading corner and a question board; projects are half of every grade for a reason.
Ready.
We teach for the next school a child will walk into — senior high, a strand, and one day work.
